Revolutionizing Disaster Response and Water Treatment with Innovative Control Panels

Introduction:

At Cox Research, we take pride in our commitment to innovation and technology, offering sustainable product solutions that prioritize the environment. Our Baton Rouge-based company is dedicated to revolutionizing the way communities respond to disasters while ensuring efficient water treatment methods. With a focus on cutting-edge solutions, we have developed groundbreaking control panels that play a crucial role in disaster response and sustainable water management.

Addressing Disaster Challenges:

When Hurricane Katrina struck, the impact on sewage and water systems left people unable to return to their homes. The wastewater treatment plants were inoperative, compounding the crisis. Recognizing the urgency to restore critical services, we at Cox Research devised a solution to quickly reactivate control panels. Working closely with FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency), we obtained approval for our innovative control panel system.

Introducing the "CAMO" System:

To overcome the challenges of post-disaster control panel restoration, we developed the CAMO (Control Assembly Maintenance Option). Our removable bucket design houses essential control mechanisms, offering a plug-and-play solution. With a 72-hour warning before an imminent hurricane, users can easily remove a part of the control panel, including the controllers, in less than a minute. After a mandatory 24-hour evacuation, the remaining panel can be removed and placed in secure “shoe boxes” stored on higher ground. Once the storm subsides, the cleaned control panel can be reconnected swiftly. Our system minimizes downtime and ensures efficient restoration, helping communities recover faster. In the case of Hurricane Katrina, it took two years to get all the panels up and running, but with our solution, the process could have been significantly expedited.

Recognized and Embraced Nationwide:

The success of our control panel system extends beyond disaster response. Cities across the country have recognized the effectiveness of our bucket system and have adopted it for routine maintenance. The ability to remove and replace control panels within minutes eliminates the need for expensive towers and streamlines the overall maintenance process. This not only saves time and resources but also contributes to a cleaner and more sustainable environment.

Efficiency and Timeliness:

At Cox Research, we prioritize efficiency in our production process. By maintaining a ready stock of backplates and swing doors, we can promptly start assembling control panels upon receiving an order. This streamlined approach ensures that our control panels are readily available, reducing construction timelines and enabling swift deployment and installation.

Conclusion:

As a leader in innovation and technology, Cox Research is dedicated to transforming disaster response and water treatment. Our revolutionary control panels, approved by FEMA, have proven their effectiveness in restoring critical services during emergencies. Furthermore, our versatile bucket system has gained recognition nationwide, revolutionizing routine maintenance procedures. With Cox Research at the forefront of innovation, communities can rely on sustainable and efficient solutions for disaster response and water treatment.
